| | Wake Up Dead Man- U2 | ] | because i have been up since 5 and i have to do something to avoid studying for my Bio test i am going to create and picture timeline if you will that shows the evolution of the look of the U2 guys over the years
this is while they were promoting their 1st album, Boy, in 1980
skip foward 5 years and this is Bono and Edge at Live Aid in 1985 where Bono single-handedly pioneered the irish mullet This my favorite pic of them cause the Joshua Tree shoot was all cool and artistic this is 1987
so this is 1992 during Achtung Baby when Bono started wearing the sunglasses and Edge started wearing hats (he was going bald)
 this is from pop AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
their comeback in 2001 for all that you can't leave behind, so much better
And now 2006 with all their grammys for How to dismantle an atomic bomb
that was fun wasnt it? |

| | The Joshua Tree - U2 | ] | Today was slightly non-annoying which is always awesome. I had Star Testing in Regan's room which was quite exciting because i got to stare at the "Can Bono Save the World?" Time magazine cover on the wall. Then
i had 2 study halls throughout which i listened to The Joshua Tree, which is an awesome album because, although the themes of the album actually arent too happy (heroin addiction, the evils of American society from the prospective of an Irish man, a group of women in Chile whose children were kidnapped and murdered by the government, and the pain of love at its worst, just to name a few) it has a soothing quality to the songs and if you let it wash over you it takes you away from everything. I love listening to the beginning instrumental bit of Where the Streets Have No Name full volume while walking to class because i forget everything thats happened and just get completely lost in the complexity of the sound. whoa...
English was boring as usual, we went to the library to research (as if anyone actually does) our new project. I am do my report thing on MC Escher which made me happy because he is my favorite artist.
Drama was a ton of fun. We had a work period so Jenna, Tom, Kevin, and I went to put a giant banner for the Spring Play over the marquee. We got a ladder and futons and Kevin and I actually climbed up to put it up. This was great because it just made Tom increasingly mad that he sent the two most ADD people up to do a slightly dangerous job. (it also didnt help that Kevin and i had a laughing fit that lasted quite a while due to the scissors that Kevin broke because of divine intervention) About an hour and a half later James came by wondering why we had taken so long to hang one freakin poster and helped us finish but still it is a lot of fun annoying the hell out of Tom. To annoy him even more we would make him fetch the scissors and then drop them (with incredible style i might add) and then make him get them for us again and then would not take them from him due to the fact that we were too busy trying to wave like rose queens.
Also during this time i made up a song about how much marbles love Shaza and sang the lovely song that my sister and i made up when we were little that goes "Laura Lee lost her head and now she cannot find it!" we were brilliant songwriters even at a young age.
We decided that if we did die Kevin's last words would be either "I'm hungry" or "I'm sorry I ate your sandwich" and mine would be "I love Bono" which is quite true |
